The beginning of this week was such a blur with the weird mid-week holiday and then going back to work yesterday, I sort of forgot about making a workout plan or sharing our grocery list! But we have, in fact, been eating and working out this week. Here’s what I’ve got.
Breakfasts
Nothing new and fun here, though we did have some leftover croissants, which I really love incorporating into breakfast.
Lunches
Leftovers, per usual.
Dinners
Chinese takeout on New Year’s Eve…yum, this dinner was totally delightful. It had been far too long since we’d ordered Chinese food.
Grilled burgers
Italian sausage hoagies (I made these last night and it was such a fast and easy recipe — definitely recommend!)
Pizza
Steak fajitas
Workouts
I didn’t really have a workout plan for the holiday week, but I did manage to work out three or four times (that week is just a blur too…), including two trips to DEFINE, which I had been missing! My plan for this week is just to get in three workouts, including one outside of the house. I’ve already completed my first two (30-minute yoga podcasts) and I’ll probably do another one tonight just because my day was kind of excruciatingly stationary and I need to do something to shake that off. As for getting out of the house, I’m planning to get back to DEFINE or to THRiVE this weekend. With all of the Resolutionaries.
How has your week been? Any good meals or workout plans to share?

I made chicken tortilla soup Sunday and had leftovers all week. It was really good! Body pump last night and body combat tonight. Our gym uses les mills classes in VA, most are pretty good. They have a body flow class that encorperates a lot of yoga and Pilates.
I agree about mid week holidays. Totally screws up everything!
Mmm I love chicken tortilla soup! What recipe did you use?
Let me know next time you hit up define!
Will do!
I love reading your meal plans. I almost always end up snagging a recipe or two for my own meal planning. (Umm… that crisp chicken marinara looks so.damn.good.)
I’m kind of pumped to try making personal chicken pot pies in the coming week or so (my mom bought me some ramekin dishes for Christmas–whee!), and the bf has been begging for a chicken version of pot roast, so I’m gonna attempt that too.
As far as workouts, my boyfriend gave me a yoga DVD for Christmas that I’m totally loving (it actually gets fast-paced about halfway through!), so I’ll stick with that for now. Btw, what podcast do you use for your yoga? I know I’ll want to try something else once the newness wears off the DVD.

I’m glad you like them! :)
What DVD did you get?
As for podcasts, YogaDownload.com is my go-to. I LOVE this one (I have it in all the durations):
http://www.yogadownload.com/Utilities/GenericProductDisplay/tabid/110/prodid/1713/default.aspx
The Dave Farmar ones are good too:
http://www.yogadownload.com/yoga-classes/baptiste-power-vinyasa-yoga-online-classes.aspx
You can also find some good stuff in the iTunes store! Both Yoga Download and Dave Farmar have podcasts you can subscribe too. The Dave Farmar ones are free full-length classes (recorded during his actual classes) and they are an ass-kicking!
And this is my favorite one from Yoga Download:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-1-sun-salutations/id259744514?i=20136278&mt=2 That is the one I usually do after spinning!
The DVD is called Yoga for Weight Loss: http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Weight-Loss-Colleen-Saidman/dp/B0099115XW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1357233238&sr=8-7&keywords=gaiam+yoga+for+weight+loss
I’m 99.9 percent sure he got it from Target, if you’re interested and don’t want to wait for it to come in the mail.
And thanks for the podcast suggestions!

The first time I used a recipe off of a blog called 365 crockpot (which is an awesome blog if you’ve never been). Didn’t really like it so I tweaked it. Chicken, jar of corn/bean salsa, fire roasted tomatoes with chilies, chicken broth, green onions, jalapeƱos in the crock pot on high for five hours. Put cheese and tortillas on top. Yumm!! I keep wanting to make your lasagna soup and get sidetracked!
