Blog your heart out: Spread the word

This week, the Go Red bloggers are focusing on spreading the word about women’s heart health! As I said previously, I learned about women’s risk for heart disease several years ago through all the coverage in a February issue of Glamour magazine. They shared stories of young women who had had heart attacks or heart disease and talked about the signs of a heart attack (which can be different in women and men, and which women often ignore). Up until that point, I had no idea what a serious health threat heart disease was, but that piece really motivated me to get in shape and eat well. I really believe spreading the word can have an effect, which is why I am part of this campaign. And I’d love if other people joined in in spreading the word next week on Friday, February 22.
